I was thrilled that there was a place to go to post for adoption for my father's Lhasa Apso after he broke his hip and was no longer able to care for her. She was adopted by a lovely young woman who drove from a neighboring state. You made the process easy and pain free and I am happy to know she found a good home and getting loved as she deserves. I was so surprised that an older dog was wanted and there were requests for her within hours of posting. Thank you, Rescue Me!

We were so worried about finding a good home for our beloved Roger. By using Rescue Me, we were able to post his story. A wonderful elderly lady saw his picture and it was love. Because of this website, he was not placed in a shelter. He is now able to live with a loving lady and make her happy

Ziggy has found a wonderful, loving home thanks to this site. He and his new mom bonded well. He has a big fenced in yard to play in and a swimming pool where he can learn to swim. He will not be alone all day as he was with me. I am so grateful to his new family, especially his mom. She was very caring and considerate of my feelings and what a difficult decision this was for me. She even invited me to come and visit if I wanted to. Thank you, Rescue Me! I am so grateful there is a safe place to go for adoptions.

Lily has been adopted out to a wonderfully loving couple whom she instantly connected with. The best part is that she will be traveling the world with them. I can rest easy as Lily goes home to a large fenced in yard where she can run and play fetch all day long. She also has a swimming pool and will be taking lessons. Rescue Me's service was invaluable in finding Lily such an awesome fur-ever home! Many Thanks!

My husband and I lost our Lhasa Apso of 15 years to Congestive Heart Failure. We had his Mum, Dad, sister and him from the parents last litter. Mum died at 14, sister at 10 (she was the smallest runt that the vet had ever seen in his 30 years). I bottle fed Cherubella and her and Zhivago were best friends. She lived longer than the vet said she would. Zhivago was left alone. He was the most loving, intelligent, sweet dog. I've had a difficult month. We have no family left, we are both 61 years old. We have only our church friends. I kept seeing this guy on Rescue Me for quite some time and kept looking at him and decided no one was going to adopt him. When we went to see him, the Foster Mum said he was standoffish but a sweet boy. He came and sat on my foot and looked up into my eyes as if to say he was coming home with us. I already knew before seeing him in person that he was mine. He delivered to us two days ago after three months in foster and who knows how long in rescue and pound. The past few days he has settled in. He has several beds around the house and toys. He is housebroken... Such an awesome boy! His hair is longer and I wish I could post a picture of him today, here. He sleeps with us through the night. He is wherever I am lying on his quilts in many rooms. His stomach is settled, he eats well and is happier every day. In the Bible I found Teddy which means 'divine gift from God', and he is. I kept looking at him at the sites and just knew in my heart we had to have him. He is forever in our hearts already. Please adopt a forever friend! Gloria

I love this site and have been telling all my friends about my experience with finding a home for Fossie. It was very easy to match dogs to new owners. My main concern was finding a family that would love him as much as my mother-in-law loved him. With so much interest, I was able to find the right home for him and quickly on Rescue Me. Our family was very pleased knowing how happy he will be with his new family.

I lost my dog recently. I was devastated. I looked around for another dog to share my life with. Then I ran across Olivia. I was surprised at how much she looked like my departed dog. I applied to meet Olivia. The people at the organization were very helpful and professional in helping to arrange a meeting today with Olivia. We met and I found Olivia to be a very sweet dog. We adopted her not to long after meeting her. I got lucky when I found her. Thank you Rescue Me and everyone involved in helping me adopt her.

Thank you, Rescue Me. I picked up Champ only a short three hour or so drive from my home. Found him delightful and very well behaved. Made the trip very satisfactorily. I lost one of my two in September of last year and the other in April both due to old age. Having them around for the last twelve years is hard to get over, but, Champ is making up for their loss. He has made his first visit to the vet for a physical and shots, with a scheduled revisit in a few weeks for his neutering. He has an appointment with the groomer tomorrow for a bath and a haircut. Thanks to all for Champ's well being and the love and care he has had in the past. He is now in his forever home.

My husband found Rescue Me and was helping a neighbor find a Lhasa Apso companion to her current rescue. While perusing the various posts, he came across adorable Eden. We fell in love with her smile immediately. After reading her bio we arranged to drive the one and a half hours to meet her. It was love at first sight. Our 11 year old cocker mix loves his little sister, and my husband and I couldn't be happier to have and love our new addition to our family. Thanks to Diane, who fostered Eden until we were blessed to find her and give her a forever home. -Sandy and Chuck

Boomer was picked up as a stray off the streets with dirty, missing hair, and infested with fleas. We quickly took him to the vet for evaluation and a bath and cut. He was with our rescue for a good six months while his hair grew back and learned what it was like to be a part of a family again, loved and cared for. He was a very happy boy and his wonderful personality really shined whenever he met a new person. A dog with manners and a gentle soul we knew it was just a matter of time until the right forever home came knocking on his door. Saturday was that day for him. He is with his new family and new best doggy friend, who he took to right away. He will be missed, but so deserves his very own. Thank you, Rescue Me.

I just want to take a minute to express my gratitude to Rescue Me. It has been a real struggle for me and my kids to put Duke and his daughter up for adoption. My living situation changed and, unfortunately, resulted in us having to make this decision. After posting Duke, I got a text asking for more info! I sent pictures of both of them and was very surprised when she wanted to see both. We met. My babies went to her right from the beginning and never barked one time at her! We arranged for her to take them for a weekend to see how things went with her and her son. We then met to get their shots and really connected, I was able to see that my dogs were going to a very loving, warm home! Your site connected me with someone who loves my babies as much as I do! Truly blessed, thank you so much for your service.

Cookie was a military family pet that had been transferred to the area. Unfortunately, the Mom got very, very sick and the family could not take care of Cookie. She needed a home, but Dad did not want to take her to the local pound, so he signed up with Rescue Me. Thirty minutes down the road lived Judy, a lonely senior widow who now lived alone. Her adult daughter had remarried and moved into a new home just six months before; and her almost fifteen year old, beloved Lhasa Apso became very ill and died a couple months later from brain tumors. Judy loved her Lhasa Apso and decided to sign up for a rescue dog. One Friday, she checked and sure enough, there was a seven year old Cookie who lived right down the road and needed a home! She called her daughter, who picked her up and drove to Cookie's home. Cookie was a little nervous at first, even growled, but things settled down, and Judy took home Cookie that night. After a visit to the vets, where a big old dog barked at Cookie causing her to scoot behind her new Mom, Judy, Judy saved Cookie and they are now best friends forever!!! Cookie is now vetted, groomed, sporting pink bows in her hair, and happy as can be on her walks with with her new Mom. And her new Mom is thrilled with Cookie, too. Cookie's former owner said his prayers were answered; new Mom Judy's prayers were answered too. And somewhere up in Heaven, an angel earned his wings.

Two years ago, my 17 year old Lhasa Apso crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I did not intend to have another inside-the-house dog since I am elderly and a young Lhasa would probably out live me. However, about 6 months ago, I realized that I really did need an inside-the-house guard dog. Lhasa Apsos were bred for temple guard dogs and I like their personalities. I wanted another Lhasa! I started looking for a senior female Lhasa from a rescue organization. The ones I found were more money than my budget could afford or were too far away for me to travel or the rescue organization would not approve me because I do not have a fenced yard although I live in the country with no close neighbors. Then I found Rescue Me! and there was Zooey who needed a temporary home while her owner was overseas. This was ideal for me. I have a watch dog and I know she has a home to go back to so I do not worry what will happen to her when I can't take care of her any longer. Meantime, she likes country living and is enjoying many new experiences and I am enjoying her playfulness and company. Thank you for providing a forum where owners can find the right situation for their beloved Lhasa and Lhasa seekers can find the right dog for them.

Unfortunately, we have to move into a senior community and were sadly unable to take my girls, Cassie and Lacey, with us. They could not be separated because they are extremely close. I had them for seven years and it's been quite a struggle in doing this. However, we are so blessed to have someone contact us who wanted both girls. They live in the country and will be putting up a fence for the girls this spring. The girls have become so much more active living in a house, rather than an apartment. They have all bonded very well. The best part of it for me in grieving, is that the new owners send me pictures of the girls doing different activities and stories. This has helped me so much. I know they miss us as we were so close to them, but they now have walks, more playtime, etc., that were became unable to do. Thank you so much for Rescue Me! We will be sending a contribution as soon as possible.

My daughter is a working, college student who found that she simply didn't have the time or financial resources to continue to care for her beloved Lhasa Apso, Bentley. She was too heartbroken to handle the task of finding him a home so I took over. Just by Googling, I stumbled across Rescue Me! and posted a picture of Bentley. Within 48 hours, I was contacted by a few really strong potential owners. My heart went out to a family who had two young, energetic children and a stay-at-home mom - perfect for giving Bentley the attention he deserves. We met, Bentley quickly adjusted, and we contributed to two sweet girls being raised with the pet they longed for. We miss him, but Rescue Me! helped us find the perfect home for 'Mr. B' and I will forever be grateful!

I am happy and sad to see my little Lacey go, but I can't believe what wonderful people I found to adopt her. They were specifically looking for a Tibetan Terrier/Lhasa Apso and chose Rescue Me! to find their next dog. I prefer this site over Craigslist any day. One thing to consider, make sure you know what breed your rescue really is. If I had not done the research and found out she was part Lhasa Apso and updated her status, I would have never found these people. I'm so lucky, and so is Lacey. Well, Lacey is luckier as she is with retired adults who will be taking her to their Lake home in Washington and on trips to Canada. Miss you so much Lacey, but glad I was able to save you from that horrible kill shelter.

Because of unfortunate circumstances, I could not keep my dog Ayla. She had been staying at my son's home while I tried to look for her a new forever home. After two years, it came to the point that I was going to have to take her to the Animal Shelter; we all know what happens to dogs there. On the shelter page, it suggests looking for a 'Rescue group' for her breed. I did, found 'Rescue Me!' and posted her story. The next morning, I received one email and three phone calls from people that wanted to adopt her! Today, she is going to her forever home and her new family is going to love her as much as we did. Ayla and I thank you for saving her life! Karen

Thank you so much. I had several inquiries about my dog. I was able to talk with each prospective owner and decide where I thought the best match was for both my dog and the new owner. The lady that adopted my dog was recently widowed in the last few weeks and was looking for a dog for companionship. I was able to meet her and one of her sons prior to my puppy going home with her. I believe it is a good match and have been told I may call and check on how my dog is doing anytime.

I was searching the internet for some kind of rescue help for this little stray that had shown up; that was how I happened to come to this site. We could not find anyone among people we knew who could keep the dog but we were determined not to turn him in to the local 'shelter'. We were getting that desperate feeling. Reading the Success Blog is what actually convinced me that this site could really work! We liked that we could post a picture, describe him in our own words and personally consider responses from people who knew or were interested in this breed. And now, one very deserving dog has found a great home and a very deserving couple has a wonderful pet. What more could you ask for? Just many happy years together! So we are all saying 'Thank you' to RescueMe.Org for being there to help it happen.

Westley just finished his one week trial run with the family, and they have decided to keep him. They have even sent me pictures of his new life.

I posted him on this site at 1am and a very nice couple came and got him at 7pm the same day. He was taken to the vet the very next morning and is being treated.      Hi Jeff, Rescue Me is a fantastic site! The decision to find a new home for our Lhasa was a difficult one, but Rescue Me provided us with the opportunity to meet a loving woman who will provide Stinky with the attention he so desperately craves. This website was terrific because it gave us access to a person looking for a Lhasa Apso, and Stinky was able to stay safe and secure with us, instead of scared and frightened in a shelter until we could find him his perfect match. Thanks again! Your site helped give a positive outcome to a tough decision. Amy

I did find a home for Winston. Rescue Me is a great site and it helped me find a great loving home for my dog in 3 days. Having to let go of a loved family pet is tough, but thanks to rescue me we found our dog a great home. Jason

Thank You! Bentley was adopted, by me! LOL He has become a member of the family. But I tell everyone about this wonderful site of yours, I have never used anything like this before, but I had absolutely no difficulty! Also, I had quite a few e-mails about Bentley so I know your site works! I will save this e-mail and I will donate as soon as I can. Please keep up the good work, and if there is anything I can do to help you find homes for Gods creatures, please let me know! Thank You again, Monya

Belle was adopted today. She was matched with an older man from our neighboring state Wisconsin. This man had lost his Lhasa a few months ago. The rescue site was great to use and the man who adopted Belle contacted me within 1 day of her posting. We will miss her terribly but her new owner agrees to email us pictures. The site was crucial in finding her a home as we were not having any luck with family and friends. Thank you so much. We would have had to put her down without the rescue site. We couldn't take the chance of her biting our baby. Danielle

He was adopted. Just a brief history of Odie our dog. We adopted him from the Humane Society 1.5 years ago. At the time he was just getting over a skin condition. I pointedly asked if he was cured or if this was an ongoing condition. I was assured he was cured. Long story short he was not and it was too much work for our daughter to keep up with him. When I contacted the Humane Society about them finding him another home they said they did not have room and to just take him to the county animal shelter. There was no way I was going to do that as I know how that would end. I had the idea to contact your organization and see if they could help. After screening 5 replies I was able to find Odie a good home with a new owner who had a dog with the same skin condition and was familiar with the care that would be required. Your organization was great and I was able to place Odie in a great home with a very caring new family. Thank you from our family as this was a tough decision to give him up, but we knew we were unable to properly care for him. Your group made a difference in this great little dogs life. Thanks again Ed Chalmers

Dear Jeff, The experience of using RescueMe.org was amazing. I have been attempting to find a new loving home for my Lilly for some time using other resources. When I decided to give this website a try, it could not have been easier to post a photo and information. Within 10 minutes of posting, the calls and emails started. Before, the difficult part was trying to find a loving home. With RescueMe.org, the problem was trying to choose between all the wonderful people who wanted her. It is heartbreaking to have to re-home a beloved family member, but it was a relief to be able to get through the process in such a simple and smooth way. Thank you for helping to make a hard task much easier, and for helping me to find the right home for my baby. Regards, Taylor

Dear Jeff, Pearl did find a new home and fairly quickly. The new owners appear to be very loving and I felt very comfortable sending her home with them. Pearl is a very sweet dog and will be a perfect pet for them. It was hard for me to send her off but it was best for her. Your site was easy to manage and I had several contacts. There was a delay in sending her related to a vacation for me but she was spoken for within two weeks. Today I told a friend how much I liked your site and how comfortable I was to use it. It was recommended by a person familiar with your work. I would never want to advertise a pet on a site that would not have such a select audience. I would be very willing to pass this on to anyone I know who may be looking for a new home for their pet. Thank you, Karen Stahlecker

Hi Jeff, Charlie was adopted today by a very nice couple. I was really surprised how fast it all happened since I only put the ad up a few days ago. This is a great way to find a hope for your Lhasa Apso when you can no longer care for him and you want to find someone that will take good care of him and love him. I was so glad when I found your website and this is the only way I could have let Charlie go. Thank you so much. Marlene

Jeff, I was sceptical of your site Rescue Me. I am now a believer in the site's ability to match the forever home for a loving pet. The decision to place Mimi was already heart wrenching. Mimi and I found the perfect home with lots of love. The site is very user friendly and helpful. Thank you! Susan

Jeff: I would like to state this is my first use of your site, but was very pleased at the ease of use. My search turned up two wonderful Lhasa Apso's (brothers). Despite the lack of pictures the meet went great and the two Lhasa Apso's turned out to be great little guys that have adapted to our home well. I recommend RescueMe.org to any one with great ease and options of communication. Jim

Thank you he was adopted today. While it was a hard thing to have to do, I am confidant that the family that now has him will be very good to him. The lady handled him very well during the time she was with us. Thank you for the site because I really did not know where to turn. Dan

Dear Jeff, Thank you for starting this site called, 'Rescue Me!' I have had my dog on it for about a week and he was just adopted by a fantastic lady. I am certain that your site is the only reason that I feel comfortable in letting him go today. My dog will have a great life with a new family for many years to come. Thanks for your hard work in creating this wonderful site for pets. Eileen

Dear Jeff, I am happy to announce that Daisy has been adopted by an absolutely wonderful family! Your website helped my family so much! There is nothing more difficult than having to make the decision to give your pet up for adoption, and in our case, I had Daisy for 9 years! As soon as I placed the ad, I received multiple inquiries about Daisy and I was amazed at the people who were interested in adopting her! It didn't take long for me to find the perfect home for her, and thanks to your suggestions on how to ensure the home is a good one, I felt good handing Daisy over! Your website is quick and easy to use, and I will be forever grateful for what you have done for Daisy and my family. We are expecting our 2nd child in a few short weeks and could no longer provide Daisy with the attention she needed. Your website allowed a wonderful family to lovingly welcome Daisy into their home! I will recommend RescueMe.Org to anyone I know who may be in need of giving up their pet! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Jenny

Thank you for the use of your website to help me locate a wonderful home for my beautiful Nala. If we were not in a life changing situation, Nala would not have to find a new family. I received several emails from caring, loving individuals and families looking for an addition to their home and today selected a family that lives only a town away from us. Nala will a very well cared for and loved dog with her new family and I am certain it will not take long for her to adjust. Your website was wonderful and I am glad a friend referred you to me. I will definitely make a donation and will refer your site to anyone else that needs to have a pet adopted. Again many thanks for this benefit. Diane Haley Brooks

Cooper was adopted. I just went on your website and listed him as adopted. I found a fantastic local suitor, who was looking for a companion for her similar breed dog. I feel like Rescue Me! attracted someone who was serious and cares for animals like I do. Thank you for the adoption assistance!

Thank you so much RescueMe.Org for helping me find my Lhasa Apso Yogi a new home. Your site was easy to use and I got a lot of replies. Though we were sad to see her go, Yogi was successfully adopted by a new loving family!
