Rescue Me ID: 14-12-14-00166Winston (male)

Lhasa Apso Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Winston He is a sweetheart! Winston is a 5 yr old 18.5 pound male Lhasa Apso. Winston is neutered, current with all vaccines and rabies. He has a current health certificate and is heart worm tested negative. Winston was saved from a high kill shelter in CA. He was hours away from euthanasia for no reason other than shelter overcrowding. We rescued Winston to give him his much deserving chance at a new happy life. Winston is moderately active, meaning he will chase a toy for a few good throws then he's your couch pal. He loves car rides and walks well on a leash. He loves soft squeaky toys, and entertains himself. He is not a barker, and ... (Read More)is potty trained. Winston would make a great companion for a household that is mildly low key and will take him for car rides and daily walks. He likes other dogs but would be fine as a only dog. Winston has a deep soul and his eyes tell a story. I think he was very attached to his previous owner and pines to find someone who will bond and love him the sameway in a 'forever' home. His coat requires grooming every 6 weeks. He is considered a Hypoallergenic breed. If you are, allergic to dogs please note there truly is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog. If interested in meeting Winston please, submit an online adoption application at www.6dogrees.com and we will review your application. If all looks good we will contact you to set up a meet and greet We are not a first come first serve rescue. 6dogrees Rescue is about matching the right home and people with our dogs. lnteresting Lhasa Apso Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
The Lhasa Apso was once used as a monastery watchdog. Lhasa Apsos only belonged to Tibetan royals and holy men for thousands of years. According to Tibetan legend, when the master of a Lhasa Apso died, his soul would enter the body of his dog, and so these dogs were considered sacred.
