Rescue Me ID: 15-06-22-00206Odin (male)

Lhasa Apso    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected, Fearful/Anxious

Beautiful dog. Fearful/aggressive due to previous abuse/neglect. Very sweet if not feeling anxious (e.g., will bite, so unable to groom w/o anesthesia). He has gotten better with biting but after consulted a psychologist, we know signs of anxiety and we do not push him to do something he does not want to do. He likes to make up his own mind. He has been very sweet with most people w/ the exception of one person (who does not like dogs). It's getting harder to let him go but I think he needs a more experienced owner who can help him overcome his fear or knows how to handle him despite it. I feel it is due to my inability to give him ... (Read More)what he needs that is the problem. I love dogs and we have three other rescues. But I've never encountered an animal like him. I can't bear to think he would be euthanized. That's what people tell me, but I just believe he needs the extra love and understanding of a more experienced person. Please help. (Less)
