Fred (or Freddie) is a sweet and lovable Lhasa who needs a lot of attention and frequent walks. We love him and he has been with him for nearly six years, but he has behavioral issues that we've been unsuccessful overcoming. We have a second child on the way and our home is not the best place for him anymore. We don't have the capacity to give him the attention that he needs. He is trained, but urinates and defecates in the house if he doesn't get enough attention. He is extremely territorial and can be aggressive with strangers, but once he gets to know you he's a lover for life.

|Rescue Me ID: 17-02-06-00159Miracle (female)|
Miracle was relinquished from owners. She was going to be euthanized for behavior issues. She is super sweet, and loving. Loves to be held and sleep with you. She is a Lhaso apso and is very dominant. Like most small dogs she growls at other dogs when she is on a leash. She will go after cats, squirrels, etc. She is amazing dog that I have been fostering. I am very protective over her since I have been fostering her for several months working on her behavior to make her adoptable. She does have to be on two medications, one for her liver and one for incontinence. If I could find someone who is retired that would be ideal. When she is alone she stresses and tends to have an accident in the house. I kennel her so at least it's maintained in the kennel. When you're home she does not urinate in the house. If you make sure she's poops on her walks she's usually good. She loves, LOVES, walks and sleeping in the bed with you. Yelling at her works against you. So if you're upset it's best to just let it go. She needs a very patient and kind family. The adoption fee pays for all of her vaccines, and her bloodwork that was done. (Less)

Lhasa Apso Dogs can make good pets in Oregon if they match your IifestyIe. The Lhasa Apso is a darling long haired lap dog. Lhasa Apsos have a loud bark and make good watchdogs. Lhasa Apsos are friendly, but do not like to be teased by children. Lhasa Apsos are best suited to homes where they are the only pet, and need a firm master. Lhasa Apsos need to be with their people, and are good dogs with which to travel. This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough activity and is walked every day.
