Take a look at this pretty girl, her name is Cocoa. This sweetie is an 18 lb, 2-3 yr female Lhasa Apso. She is good with all sizes of dogs... children...cats. This poor girl came in severely matted from neglect and had to be shaved down... her foster said it was about 6 pounds of fur shaved off. But no she is happy, healthy, easy going and loves to be held. She's looking for a loving forever home is that with you? We do vet check and home visits on our adopters. Adoption fee is $375 and all dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. Please contact us if you would like to fill out an application.

Shiloh came to us in terrible condition. His story goes something like this....he and his sister Coco were dumped by their former owner with two children one summer, at the grandfather's house. Leaving the grandfather to take care of dogs and children he was unplanned for. He was left under a car port in a small crate with no heat even when it was 25 degrees. He was soaked in urine when we rescued him. We are very certain that he had very limited interaction with humans. Despite coming from these deplorable condition, he is learning very quickly that humans can be trusted. LHASA APSO DOGS are not your typical lapdog. Lively, friendly and outgoing around the home, it is also bold and full of spunky attitude. These charming and elegant canines believe themselves to be the protector of the household, and they take that job very seriously. The Lhasa Apso develops close bonds with its owner and may seem suspicious of strangers, but it has an excellent sense of restraint and judgement. Lhasa Apso Dogs can make good pets in Connecticut if they match your IifestyIe. The Lhasa Apso is a darling long haired lap dog. Lhasa Apsos have a loud bark and make good watchdogs. Lhasa Apsos are friendly, but do not like to be teased by children. Lhasa Apsos are best suited to homes where they are the only pet, and need a firm master. Lhasa Apsos need to be with their people, and are good dogs with which to travel. This breed can live in an apartment if it gets enough activity and is walked every day.
